Daily Schedule

This year at HoornSchool we have a much more vigorous schedule then we have had in the past.  I figure, since Bunny is now in the 5th grade, we should probably be getting our act together.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are all work days.  We cover all of our Language Arts including Phonics, Spelling, Grammar, Reading, Handwriting and Journaling.  We also do Math.

Tuesdays are Bible Study and co-op day!  We head to church and the kids go to the homeschool room and work on any work that they can do independently.  Then we eat lunch at church and have homeschool co-op.  At co-op we have Literature class, Art History and Science experiments.

Thursdays my best friend and her daughter and we do History, watch a Moody Science video and have a baking lesson.  This year we are covering the Civil War in depth during history.  We are also baking something new every week.  This week we learned how to zest and separate eggs.

On top of all this, we have The Bear going to preschool on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Bunny has dance on Tuesday evenings and she also has OM on Thursday afternoons.

Throughout the year we will go on various field trips and go to open gym the 1st, 3rd and 5th Fridays at our church.

What does your homeschool week look like?  On a future post I will detail what our work days look like and how our chore schedule works.
